Blur

So often we get told how important it is to keep our images tack sharp. Let’s not forget the importance, now and then, of how effective a soft blur can be. I don’t mean shots where the focus was accidentally just a hair off. I mean

BLUR

There are so many ways to add blur to your shots. Motion, out of focus, long exposures, shaky hands, Vaseline (yes, seriously). Get creative to find what works for you. Whether you blur your subject or its surroundings, or whether the blur itself is your subject, try to have fun with it. And keep in mind that sometimes even blurry things can appear sharp (ie- star trails, a fast train, a waterfall). I look forward to seeing what you’ve come up with!

Prints are due by 6:15pm on the night of our meeting. Digital images are due by the end of the day the night before.

There will be a Zoom meeting to discuss this topic in further detail on Wednesday, March 13th, at 6:30pm. As usual, the link to the meeting will appear on this page when the countdown timer reaches zero.
